Bottle Toss Challenge – Help Needed!

We’re excited to announce a fun activity planned for our students this coming Tuesday – a Bottle Toss Challenge! This event will be a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage in some friendly competition and teamwork with their grade 12 buddies.

To make this event a success, we are kindly asking for your assistance. We need empty 2L bottles and empty 500ml water bottles (the ones that come in a case). If you have any of these bottles lying around at home, we would greatly appreciate it if your child could bring them to class tomorrow and Monday.

Please ensure that the bottles are rinsed out before sending them to school to ensure they are clean and ready for the challenge.

Thank you in advance for your support and contributions.

Upcoming Dates:

  • April 10th – Pay to Wear Casual
  • April 16th – Grandparent’s Day (Gr. K-3)
  • April 17th – Jersey Day
  • April 26th – Pro-D Day
  • April 30th – Library Bake Sale Fundraiser

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a fantastic break!

As we dive into our next exciting art project starting this Monday, I kindly ask that students who have not yet brought in a 12×12 canvas to please do so on Monday. We still have 8 students who need to bring one in. If, for any reason, you’re unable to acquire one over the weekend, please send me an email (bmoisin@highroadacademy.com) to inform me so that I can arrange an alternative solution.

Additionally, don’t forget about our new April Bible memory verse, which is due on April 29th. Let’s work together to commit it to heart!

Remember to remind your child to keep practicing times tables and dedicating time to reading for at least 20 minutes regularly. These efforts will help strengthen their skills and understanding.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

And Spring Break has arrived!

This morning’s pancake breakfast was delicious and a great success. A big thank you to all the parents who contributed their help.

I’m planning an art project using a 12×12-inch canvas right after the break and I’m asking that each student acquire one during the break. These can be readily found at the dollar store. Should anyone encounter difficulty acquiring a canvas or face financial constraints, please inform me, and I’ll ensure that it is taken care of.

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is Genius Hour, Knight Day, and 11:35 am dismissal.  School will resume on April 2nd.

I wish you all a joyful Easter and a relaxing Spring Break!
